New York government offers $ 100 each for children aged 5-11

Minor US citizens between the ages of five and eleven will receive a reward of $100 for the coronavirus vaccination. This was announced by Bill de Blasio, the mayor of New York.

“Children aged 5 to 11 are eligible for a $100 incentive if they receive the COVID-19 vaccine at the city's vaccination center,” he said on his Twitter page.

As previously reported, Pfizer has been approved by the FDA and CDC for use in children of this age group. Despite the fact that there were few cases with complications and deaths from the disease among children, about 25% of all infected people accounted for them.

At the moment, 67.4% of New Yorkers are vaccinated against coronavirus infection. More than a quarter of city dwellers have not yet been vaccinated - 26.3%, and only 6.4% are partially vaccinated.
