The EU authorities were pleased to report on the achievement of another important milestone in the program of mass vaccination of the population against coronavirus. According to the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, 70% of adults received the drug completely by autumn.
The official expressed gratitude to everyone, thanks to whom it was possible to realize such a large-scale plan aimed at developing herd immunity among Europeans. This was an important step towards curbing the insidious infection, but, according to von der Leyen, it is too early to stop, and there is still a lot of serious work to be done. She shared this opinion on Twitter.
In addition, the head of the commission stressed that the EU will continue to support all its allies in the development of the vaccination program.
