Streaming service Amazon Prime Video has ordered the production of a film adaptation of the popular game franchise God of War.
The talks between Sony and Amazon became known back in March of this year. The expected production team was confirmed : the showrunner and executive producer of the project will be Rafe Judkins, known for the "Wheel of Time", and Mark Fergus and Hawke Ostby, who wrote the first "Iron Man" and "Child of Man", were in the scriptwriter's chairs.
Also executive produced by 2018 God of War Game Director Corey Barlog and Yumi Yang of Sony Santa Monica Studios, Asad Qizilbashi and Carter Swan of Playstation Productions, and Roy Lee of Vertigo.
Details about the plot, cast, start date of filming or the approximate release window of the series are not yet available.
