Epic Games will shut down the online servers of some older games

Unreal Tournament 3X

Epic Games announced that the online servers of some older games created or published by the company will be gradually turned off - the process is already running.

This decision was made in connection with the transition to support for Epic Online Services. The servers will go completely offline on January 24th, with most of the games still working offline.

But before we get to the games affected by server shutdowns, here's some good news: Epic Games has announced the free-to-play Unreal Tournament 3 X, which is an updated version of Unreal Tournament 3 that will be released on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG.

There will be no microtransactions in the game itself, and full crossplay will be implemented between stores. Players will have access to classic modes and a full single player campaign. There is no release date for Unreal Tournament 3X yet.
