Twitter has been through quite a bit of upheaval in the last couple of months. And all after Elon Musk took the helm of the social network. And now it has become known that the eccentric entrepreneur intends to carry out a large-scale purge, as a result of which about 1.5 billion accounts will be deleted.

According to Musk, the measure will only affect those accounts whose owners have not logged into them and have not published fresh tweets over the past few years.

Recall that the rather tough manner of managing the billionaire led to the massive dismissal of Twitter employees. At the same time, the businessman himself considers his strategy to be correct and plans to increase the audience of the platform to a billion active users by 2028. Now there are about 300 million.
