At least 46 people have died in the northeastern states of the United States, including New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut, in a riot that echoes the raging Hurricane Ida.
At least thirteen confirmed deaths occurred in the city of New York, where an atypically high amount of atmospheric precipitation had to shut down the subway this week, as well as impose restrictions on movement on highways.
By this time, about 170 thousand consumers remain without power supply in the four states mentioned above. The White House has promised to provide federal assistance to states affected by the next natural disaster.
